A unique leather crafting experience
Join us at Green Shoes for a unique leather-craft workshop, where our skilled artisans will guide you through traditional techniques as you create something truly special. We offer a variety of workshops, including our popular one-day shoemaking class and fun leather-craft sessions for families.
We’re also happy to host private groups, including corporate events and families. Get in touch with us, and we’ll gladly help plan a workshop tailored to your needs.

Our most popular workshop experience is a one-day shoemaking class, where you’ll learn to craft your very own pair of desert boots or Mary Jane shoes. During the course of the day, you will experience the whole shoemaking process, from choosing your leather and hand-cutting your shoes using simple patterns. As you progress, you will use specialist sewing machines to top-stitch and assemble the shoe upper. Finally, having force-lasted your shoes, you will leave them with us to add the soles. Your finished shoes are then posted to you within a week. Our shoemaking workshop is priced at £350 for the day, which includes all materials, tuition and of course your very own pair of custom shoes!
With only 4 spaces available per workshop, you’re guaranteed plenty of personalised attention. Instalment payment options are available too - please contact us.

Join us for a fun and creative experience where you can craft your own unique project using our scrap leather! Choose to sew a bookmark, design a keyring, or simply enjoy experimenting with cutting leather and using simple hand tools. Perfect for all ages and skill levels. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All materials are provided. Spaces are £15 per person or if all 4 places are booked together the cost for the workshop is reduced to £50. “I had an amazing experience at the Green Shoes shoemaking workshop. I’d always wanted to make my own shoes, and I got given the course as a 30th birthday gift. My partner and I stayed nearby to make a holiday of it, and loved the village too! Great food and little craft shops.
The day started with coffee, a briefing and shoe sizing. After selecting leather from a large range, I got to then choose the sole and began the process from cutting the leather to stitching the uppers. It was so exciting to see all the 2D leather pieces cut out and imagine them being a shoe!
I’d never really used a sewing machine before, but Kim and Sarah were great teachers and gave me the confidence to try things, but also comfortable to ask questions when needed! To put the shoes on my feet at the end of the day was amazing, before leaving them behind for the Green Shoes team to finish off. I kept saying it was the best day ever! Thanks to all the team.”
